Our 4th graders took math to the next level with a field trip to CiCi’s Pizza! 🍕
They practiced rounding and fractions using something they know and love—pizza! Learning is always better when it’s hands-on (and delicious). 😄

To support a more focused, engaged, and distraction-free learning environment — and to comply with the new Georgia state law — personal devices (including cell phones and smart watches) will not be permitted during the school day for Dalton Public Schools students in grades K–8.

Families can still reach students and staff by calling the front office, emailing the teacher or school, or sending a message through the Dalton Public Schools app. These methods ensure clear, consistent communication while helping keep classrooms centered on learning.

Thank you for partnering with us to create a positive, distraction-free school experience for all students!

5th Grade Fun in Miss Gutierrez’s Class!

This week we read “A Pet for Calvin,” a story about a boy who is allergic to most pets but finds the perfect companion… a worm!

To bring the story to life, our students were surprised with two days of class “pets”—real worms! The kids had a blast exploring, observing, and (carefully!) playing with their wiggly new friends.
