Student council is ready for donations of new or gently used jogging pants for our students! There is a collection bin in our front office area for convenient drop offs!
Mr. Allred’s scientists are exploring traits of microbes such as archaea, bacteria, and Protozoa. They are also exploring dangerous and beneficial forms of bacteria and the structure of viruses and why they are nonliving things. If you see one of these scientists, make sure and ask them how bacteria are evolving to defend themselves from antibiotics!
As winter weather settles in, please remember to dress your child in layers and ensure they have appropriate clothing for outdoor recess (e.g., jackets, hats, gloves, etc).

Beacon is a through-year, formative interim assessment system designed to help teachers monitor progress and guide instruction throughout the school year. K–3 students will participate in DRC BEACON Early Years, which provides important information to monitor growth. Grades 4–5 students will participate in DRC BEACON, which is directly aligned to Georgia standards and helps teachers identify strengths and areas needing more support.
