March will be here soon and it is shaping up to be an exciting and celebration-filled month at City Park Elementary!
We’ll kick things off by celebrating Read Across America, encouraging our students to grow their love of reading and literacy with our Scholastic Book Fair. Throughout the month, we will also recognize Women’s History Month, highlighting the achievements and contributions of influential women past and present. In addition, we are proud to celebrate Music In Our Schools Month, honoring the important role music plays in our students’ education and creativity.
Our talented students will take the stage for our highly anticipated school play performance, and we can’t wait for our families to see their hard work come to life. We’re also cheering on our students as they represent City Park in the DPS Elementary Soccer Tournament.
To top it all off, we’ll host another exciting Paws and Applause Assembly, featuring special guests from Air Elite, who are sure to inspire and energize our students.
It’s a wonderful month to be a City Park Panther! Thank you for your continued support as we celebrate learning, leadership, the arts, and athletics together. Here is a poem about Women's History Month to help us begin our celebration!

PAWZ is excited to announce our Spring Book Fair will be here March 2-6!
You can browse books or shop early if you visit our school’s Book Fair homepage to get started:
https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/cityparkschool2
Be sure to explore the ewallet payment option, too. Easy for families to set up, easy for others to contribute, eWallet lets your child shop independently and choose books they want to read.
After the Fair, any unspent funds become a Scholastic eGift balance to use at a future Fair or to shop online.
The easy way for kids to pay!
Please remember that any money sent to school for the book fair should be placed in an envelope or ziploc bag with the student's full name, teacher, and amount written on the outside. Sales tax does apply to all purchases.
