Our fourth-grade Panthers took a trip through space yesterday—without ever leaving City Park! 🌌✨

Thanks to the Creative Discovery Museum's StarLab, our students had the opportunity to step inside a mobile planetarium and explore the wonders of our universe! From stars and constellations to planets and other amazing objects in space, our young astronomers experienced science in a whole new way! 🔭⭐

Hands-on, immersive learning experiences like this bring science to life, spark curiosity, and remind our Panthers that the possibilities for discovery are ENDLESS! 🐾❤️🖤

Our City Park Media Center is excited to receive a very special book donation from the Georgia Department of Education and the Get Georgia Reading Campaign! ❤️🖤

📖 Forever Loblolly is a beautiful, Georgia-grown children's book created by Georgia authors Carmen Agra Deedy and John McCutcheon and illustrated by Georgia artist Thomas Gonzalez. Even the book's printing and paper have Georgia roots!

This special book celebrates the legacy of former Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal, a passionate advocate for literacy who believed every child deserved the opportunity to become a successful reader.

Before leaving office, Mrs. Deal helped provide the gift of a story to children in Georgia's public elementary schools. Forever Loblolly continues that legacy, reminding us that the seeds we plant today can grow into something extraordinary. 🌱💚

We are honored to add this meaningful book to our media center collection and look forward to sharing its story with our City Park Panthers!

City Park Elementary is making plans for a very special Veterans Day Assembly, and we would be honored to have the veterans and active-duty service members in our City Park families and community join us!

This year, our Panthers will leave the 405 and gather together outdoors for a special community celebration of the men and women who have served—and continue to serve—our country. Our program will include the Pledge of Allegiance, our City Park Glee Club, patriotic music, a whole-school singalong, and a special recognition of our veterans.
Veterans and active-duty service members, please make plans to join us! We want our students to see that those who serve our country aren't just people they read about in books—they are members of their own families, school, and community.

🪑 Guests, please bring a lawn chair for seating.
