👉 Donate to Books on the Block: The 405 Book Project:
https://shop.scholastic.com/viewCampaign?lang=en_US...
When one of our students is recognized as a PAWSitive Panther, they receive something extra special—a token for our book vending machine!
That token means they get to choose a brand-new book of their very own to take home and KEEP.
That’s where our community comes in!
Donations to Books on the Block: The 405 Book Project help us purchase the books that keep our vending machine stocked and ready to celebrate our Panthers.
🐾 $5, $10, $20—it all adds up to more books in the hands of City Park kids!
Can’t donate right now? Sharing this post helps, too!
Help us keep the 405 stocked with stories and our PAWSitive Panthers reading!

Classes resume on Tuesday, September 29.
For Virtual Day, students should complete their work at home either via Canvas or via printed materials sent home by teachers

Get those smiles ready and dress your best—City Park Picture Day is Monday, September 21! ❤️🖤
We can’t wait to see all of our Panthers looking picture-perfect and showing off their best smiles! 😁🐾

📸 Say cheese, Panthers!

This week's Panther Press has dropped!

At last night’s Dalton High School football game, some of our former City Park Panthers—now high school cheerleaders—shared a special moment on the field with our current Panthers participating in the Little Cats cheer program. We love seeing our former students encouraging and inspiring the next generation of Panthers!
From Little Cats to high school cheerleaders, the Panther spirit continues to shine! 📣✨

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15–October 15, and our ESOL Department is inviting the entire City Park community to help us fill our hallways with color!
Students will bring home a papel picado coloring sheet to color and decorate with their families. Please return the finished sheet to any City Park ESOL teacher. The completed pages will be joined together to create festive banners for our hallways!
Papel picado, which means “perforated paper,” is a traditional Mexican folk art created by cutting beautiful, intricate designs into brightly colored tissue paper.
We cannot wait to see our City Park community’s colorful creations! ¡Gracias por ayudarnos a celebrar! ❤️🎨

We apologize that our original graphic accidentally left off some of our representatives’ names. This updated graphic reflects all of our newly elected fourth- and fifth-grade representatives.
We are proud of every student who stepped forward to run for office. Thank you to all our candidates for participating, sharing their ideas, and running positive, respectful, and clean campaigns. We also enjoyed watching our fourth and fifth graders take part in the voting process and make their voices heard!
Congratulations, Panthers! We look forward to seeing you lead and serve City Park this year! ❤️🐾🖤

They also made their own red, white, and blue rekenreks and used them to practice their math skills!

Big congratulations to our newly elected Student Council representatives! These outstanding 4th and 5th graders were chosen to represent City Park Elementary for the upcoming school year.

Our youngest students had a special treat yesterday—a fun and energetic performance provided courtesy of the O.N. Jonas Foundation! The engaging show entertained and inspired our Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students with presenter Sean Driscoll.
The O.N. Jonas Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through educational and cultural experiences. Their mission is to provide opportunities that spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning outside the classroom.
We are grateful to the O.N. Jonas Foundation for bringing this exciting experience to our K-2 students! Grades 3-5 will enjoy a similar experience at a later date in the year
