Our 1st graders had a special guest speaker, Luis Soriano, founder of Biblioburro in Colombia! Mr. Soriano shared his inspiring story about traveling through towns with his burros to bring books to children who might not otherwise have access to them. Students enjoyed listening to the story “Waiting for the Biblioburro,” asked questions, and were so thankful to receive their very own copy of the book! ♥️📚🫏

Today, third grade read How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin? Afterwards, we counted the seeds inside our own pumpkins to see which one had the most. Each group chose to count by 2s, 5s, or 10s. Then, we shared the pumpkin seeds equally among all the students to represent a division equation.
