Today we celebrated our Pawsitive Panthers for the month of September!
These students were recognized for showing the trait of Responsibility every day at school.
Each student received a special certificate and a token for our book vending machine to choose a brand-new book to keep.
We are so proud of these Panthers for leading the way and setting a great example for others. Keep up the amazing work! 🐾🐾
It's Constitution Day and our student council election has begun! Here, candidates in Mr. Allred's class gave their speeches and then the class voted! Results will be tallied today!

Our fifth graders are excited to kick off a Spirit Shop fundraiser! Students will have the chance to purchase fun spirit items—such as pom-poms, bandanas, tattoos, and noisemakers—for just $1 each.
The shop will be open just in time for our first PAWS and Applause Pep Session on Thursday, September 19, which will also celebrate RED Out Day in honor of Dalton High School’s Homecoming. Items will also be available for purchase during Family Night on Wednesday, September 18.
Please note: Cash only—small bills requested.

🎉 Congratulations to the 25 students selected—choosing was tough with so much talent.
Selections were made based on scores from our tryout rubric, and we’re excited for a great year ahead!

Classes resume on Tuesday, September 23.
For Virtual Day, students should complete their work at home either via Canvas or via printed materials sent home by teachers.

To participate, simply log any read aloud you do with your children at home at the link below.
GA Reads Day will be next Monday, September 22 which is also Virtual Day--stay tuned for some cool ways to share your reading on this day, too!

🎨✨ Today, Mr. D and his students began transforming City Park into our very own Obliteration Room! Inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s famous interactive art installation, our completely white space is coming to life one colorful dot at a time.
Ms. Rhyne joined Mr. D this morning to place the very first dots, and over the next two weeks, every class will get the chance to leave their “mark” on this collaborative masterpiece.
You’ll be able to see the final creation at our Family Literacy Night on Thursday, September 18! Families will also receive a special City Park commemorative sticker (pictured here) as we celebrate our theme for the night — Create Bravely.
We can’t wait for you to experience this unique art installation and celebrate creativity together! 🖌️💡
